2 RULES AND GUIDELINES OF THE MADRASAH A. ATTENDANCE AND PUNCTUALITY i) Attendance and punctuality is of the utmost importance as absenteeism and late coming seriously impede the student s progress ii) Lessons cannot be repeated for one child due to limited time. iii) Please avoid making any appointments or plan any journeys during madrasah hours. iv) Due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, if your child is not able to attend the madrasah please inform the teacher or the administrator. v) To encourage attendance and punctuality a special mark will be allocated in the report for attendance and will be calculated in the final report. B. DRESSING i) Students are encouraged to dress Islamically when attending madrasah. ii) Preferred dressing Thawb (for boys) Abaya (for girls). iii) Girls will not be allowed to wear any jewellery. ( for safety reasons) C. BEHAVIOUR i) Students should behave and show respect to the teachers, supervisors and elders. ii) Any form of bad behavior disrespect or rudeness will not be tolerated. iii) No electronic devices will be allowed during Madrasah hours. iv) If any parent is not happy with any action taken by the teachers/ supervisors they can request management for a review. D. EDUCATION i) Parents should ensure that their child/children revise their Qaidah/ Quran lessons daily. ii) Parents should ensure that their child/children are practically implementing their Islamic Education and Identity at home and elsewhere. iii) Parents should encourage their children to perform their five times salah along with sunnah prayers. iv) Duas and sunnahs should be practiced in their occasions. E.g. when eating, sleeping, enter or leaving the washroom etc. v) Parents should protect their children from un Islamic or harmful literature, activities or media. vi) The Child s progress report will be prepared for every semester for parents to sign. vii) Any concern shall be addressed to the management in writing.
